Kenyon College, US
Kenyon (www.kenyon.edu) is a small, more competitive liberal arts and sciences college in Ohio. They are particularly known for their programmes in English, Drama, Political Science and the sciences. Classes are small (average class size is 14) and the college has a reputation for being academically challenging but not competitive. On average they would be looking for IB points in the mid to upper 30s and SAT scores of around 1900-2100.

Kenyon is offering interviews in Singapore on Saturday, 29 August to Grade 12 students interested in applying. You do not have to have applied to be interviewed but you should be planning to apply. They ask that students email them directly for interview appointments - if you are interested email Kim Totman at totman@kenyon.edu for an appointment.

US Universities
Forbes.com have just released their 2009 ranking of US universities. You may find it helpful to use this as a guide in your research, but remember that no ranking is absolutely reliable and you should not make decisions about where you apply based on a ranking. However, the list and related articles make for interesting reading. See http://www.forbes.com/2009/08/02/best-colleges-ratings-opinions-ranking-2009_land.html
