Game Design and Development

Students are invited to a free workshop based on an interactive hands-on approach to provide an overview of the multi-disciplinary nature of game development. The aims are to
· motivate students to learn foundational software engineering concepts such as programming, algorithms and data structures;
· motivate students to understand and discover the role of academic subjects such mathematics, physics, art and the integration of these subjects in the field of software engineering;
· improve problem-solving, analytical, project management and presentation skills of students using project-based, hands-on approach that requires students to design and implement their own games;
· inspire and encourage creative attributes of students and to manifest these creative ideas in playable computer games; and
· educate students to various exciting career opportunities and paths in IDM.
